“Colour” is from the 2018 record “lofeye”,\u00a0a concept album and personal testament that Philadelphia rapper lojii pieced together between 2014 and 2018, giving only hints with 2015\u2019s “no ebola”, 2016\u2019s “dutti”, along with his 2017\u2019s acclaimed collaborative album\u00a0“due rent” with producer Swarvy on Portland-based imprint Fresh Selects. From gentle hooks to blunt intensity, it is difficult to misunderstand lojii\u2019s message. In lojii\u2019s own words, \u201clofeye is about working with limited resources and making the highest quality life out of what the f**k you got\u201d. “Colour”, which did not make it onto the 12″ vinyl version in 2018, now has finally received the well-deserved vinyl release, including the instrumental on the b-side.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
